The woman who gave hope

Mother Teresa was always characterized as being noble, humble and a woman of great heart who decided to choose a path of complete service to God and her mission on earth was to help the mankind especially serving “The poorest of the poor.”
For over half a century this woman  sacrificed her life in mind, body and soul to serve whom everyone else pretended not to see or care.
What kept her going year after year? A lot of people asked that question and she always answered, “I see the face of Jesus in the poor, and I do it for him.” What she did in Calcutta and to others in different parts of the world, is a legacy and inspiration that people continue doing the same simple acts of charity and mercy today inspired by this wonderful woman.
Jeff  Burson. Wrote an article in which Pope John Paul II said “Mother Teresa marked the history of our century with courage. She served all human beings by promoting their dignity and respect and made those who had been defeated by life feel the tenderness of God.”
Mother Teresa always wrote simple words wrapped in great wisdom among which stands this quote, “The more you care about the powerless, the more power you have. The more you serve those with no influence, the more influence God gives you. The more humble yourself, the more you are honored by others” These simple but very meaningful words represented her unconditional love and sacrifice no matter what circumstances she faced. She was always willing to do everything she could possibly do.
According to Brian Kolodiejchuk, he explained “The vigor, joy and enthusiasm with which she carried out her responsibilities powerfully influence those who came in contact with her, especially her sisters and the poor she served.”
Mother Teresa was undoubtedly a role model of inspiration. The faith in her spiritual vocation was the strength to confront the most difficult situations. She always faced obstacles with kindness and courage.
The difference between a hero and celebrity lies in the reason for their sacrifice, and Mother Teresa wholeheartedly gave her life to serve others without expecting anything in return. Her sacrifice changed people’s lives, because she gave them a different perspective of what their life was worth.
